Workshops for Families

"Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other."

John F. Kennedy

PCMH Presentations to families are unique.....

Our presentations and workshops for families are unique in that they are delivered by families who too have children/youth diagnosed with mental illness or mental health disorders.

By sharing our stories together, by teaching the tools and strategies we have learned along the way, it helps to raise awareness, decrease stigma, and create networks of families who can support one another, and be empowered for their journey.

We offer different our workshops to a variety of settings:

  • Local Parent Groups
  • Local SEAC Committees
  • Parent Council
  • Parent Involvement Committees
  • Mommy and Me Groups
  • Informational evenings for families

Bringing in families to talk to families is a way to engage families, to provide them a place to feel heard, and safe to talk about what we often feel we need to keep secret.  It is often the first step in opening a dialogue with families.
