Chapter Leader - Jessi

I am an advocate for children's mental health through my role as a kindergarten teacher in the public school board. As a parent I have received extra training related to my kids diagnose
s and have stayed active as a volunteer in the mental health community. After having difficulty finding support for myself I am grateful for the support I am able to provide and receive through my involvement with PCMH.

Chapter Leader - Tanya

Suffering from mental health myself undiagnosed for many years has lead me to become a strong Advocate for children's mental health.  I do not want my children to have the same experience fighting the stigma of mental health as I did. Through accessing services for my children in our community it was apparent the strong need for support for families struggling. PCMH has given our community, our voices a chance to be heard and to support each other when the system has failed us. I am grateful to be a part of this grass roots organization in Sarnia.

Parents for Children's Mental Health believe that children, youth, and their families suffering from mental health challenges deserve our extreme respect and assurance.  We are dedicated to improving the lives of these families.

WE LINK families to important networks within their communities to ensure they get the care they need and the support of families who can relate and support them.

WE UNDERSTAND the issues around child and youth mental health challenges and the stigma that prevents the work and conversations that need to happen.

WE HELP communities and families access important resources so they can begin their journey of healing.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am at the fact that PCMH is extending it's communication to the web. The increases to the website and the monthly Web Newsletter are helping … Member, Windsor
